This is an  American Heart Association's (AHA) Heartsaver CPR AED Blended Learning Course is a combination of online learning and in-person instruction that teaches students how to perform CPR and use an AED: 
 
 
  • Online learning
    Students complete the online portion of the course at their own pace and on their own schedule. The online course includes videos, interactive exercises, and knowledge checks. 
     
     
  • In-person instruction
    Students complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA instructor. During this session, students practice CPR and using an AED on mannequins, and apply their knowledge to simulated emergency situations. 
     
     
  • Course completion
    Students receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion card that is valid for two years upon successfully completing both the online and in-person portions. 
     
     
    You will need to bring a copy of your completed online course to your skills session.  
 

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Hybrid Format – Online + In-Person Skills Check

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is an advanced, instructor-led skills session class designed for healthcare professionals who manage or respond to cardiovascular emergencies in adult patients. The course emphasizes team dynamics, communication, systems of care, and post-cardiac arrest management.

Course FormatAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support “ACLS” is an advanced, instructor-led class addressing the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care for adult populations. Participants will practice airway management, pharmacology, and EKG rhythm identification. This course is designed for medical professionals and prepares them to respond to cardiac arrest, bradycardia, and tachycardia emergencies. 

This course is offered in a hybrid format:
1. Complete the online ACLS HeartCode course through the American Heart Association (AHA). Purchase access from ShopCPR.com.
2. Print your completion certificate after finishing the online portion.
3. Attend the in-person skills session at your selected Cool Compressions CPR / STAT Training CPR location. Bring your printed ACLS HeartCode certificate with you to class.

Pre-Course Requirements

  • Complete the AHA ACLS HeartCode online program before attending your in-person session.
    • Review the AHA ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment at: https://elearning.heart.org/course/423
    • Bring your printed completion certificates to the class.

Certification

Upon successful completion of both the online and in-person portions, participants receive a 2-year American Heart Association ACLS certification.

The class covers the BLS curriculum, and participants will earn a BLS Provider certification card if they take the BLS Provider exam. A copy of the ACLS Provider Manual is required for taking this course. .

This course is taught in a hybrid format with online training and then an in-person skills check. After registering for this course on our website, purchase the ACLS Heartcode video from ShopCPR.com and complete the online training before attending the in-person skills check at our TrainingCenter. A printed copy of the ACLS Heartcode course certificate of completion is required to participate in the class on the day that you registered.

This is a BLS Provider Course.

This is a 2 part BLS (Basic Life Support) Course.  

Part one is completed on your computer at your own pace. 

Part 2 is in person. And is all hands on skills practice and demenstration. 

Same AHA BLS Provider Certificate but is in 2 parts. Skills is concentrated in the in person portion. 

You must bring in a copy of your completed online course for the instructor to have for their records.

This is a bundle class that includes your workbook.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a course you are probably fimiliar as a professional healthcare provider. 

The BLS course will help you recognize life-threatening emergencies and give you the high-quality skills you need to respond appropriately and professionally. This CPR certification & AED certification class will train you to execute high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations using a barrier device and properly employ an AED in a timely manner. You will receive hands-on training with the use of feedback manikins in simulated clinical scenarios and learn to deliver life saving basic life support to adults, children and infants.

If you are in one of the following professions, this is likely the class you need for your certification:

  • Nurses
  • CNA
  • Pharmacist
  • Dentist and their auxillaries
  • Chiropractors

BLS – Instructor-Led Training

This course is best for professional healthcare providers that have never taken the Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED certification class, or have allowed their CPR certification to expire.  This course is instructor-led and focuses on giving you immediate feedback while demonstrating the skills you learn.  The course provides you with both the cognitive elements of science-based life support as well as the psychomotor component of physically practicing BLS through testing and skill demonstration. You will will practice your skills on adult, child and infant feedback manikins for cases of cardiac arrest and choking, and learn to properly employ an AED.

BLS Renewal  Course

This course was recently added for those that need to update their BLS certificate prior to it’s expiration.  If your BLS certificate has already expired you will be required to take either the BLS – Instructor-Led or the HeartCode® BLS Blended Training to renew your certification.

The BLS Renewal Course covers all the same topics as the Full BLS Course but in a condensed manner.  This class is fast paced and assumes that you will review BLS basics prior to attending. A walk-through tutorial may be helpful before you attend. You will still have an AHA Instructor to guide you through the material and help you practice your skills, and you must demonstrate your skills and take a written assessment as you would with the Full BLS Course.  This course emphasizes Infant CPR, proper AED use and choking.

You will need to bring a 2025 BLS Workbook or Purchase the current workbook.

You MUST HAVE A CURRENT, UNEXPIRED AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BLS CERTIFICATE to take the BLS Renewal course. Please bring your current certification card to class. A print out or on your phone is ok.

 IF YOU DO NOT BRING YOUR CARD YOU WILL BE RESCEDULED FOR A FUTURE RENEWAL CLASS OR A NEW CERTIFICATION CLASS at a later date.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers(Renewal) classroom course is designed to provide CPR training(adult, children & infants), how to use an AED, team dynamics and how relieve choking in adults, children & infants. This BLS course is specifically for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, CNA's, doctors, dentists, nurses, nursing students, EMT and paramedic students, and therapists. It is a condensed version of the new course. 

NOTICE:  There is a 25 question test at the end of class. You can use your BLS manual for the test. Manuals can be purchased when registering on-line for your class, or available at the class for purchase.

AHA requires you to have the new 2025 BLS Provider Manual. You can purchase the manual when registering for a class online or you can purchase a manual when you arrive for your class. $25, cash only.   Online purchases, the instructor will have your manual available for you at your class. 

 AHA BASIC Life Course (BLS)  This includes providers. 

American Heart Assocaition BLS (Basic Life Support) class ebook can be obtained as a ebook or you will need to pick up at class time. 

Need a workbook for all students attending.

How Heartsaver Direct Works:
  1. Online eLearning: Complete the core knowledge portion (First Aid, CPR, AED) online, learning at your own pace.
  2. Hands-On Skills Session: You then finish with a required practical skills check with an instructor, using mannequins for practice, either in-person..
  3. Certification: Upon successful completion, you receive an official AHA Heartsaver eCard. 

You can add the BLS to this skills check off to round out your certifications.  additional fee of $15.00..
