AHA Heartsaver® First Aid Certification Classes

This course is primarily targeted for Healthhcare Providers.

Heartsaver® First Aid is a course that is video-based and led by a highly skilled instructor that exposes you to emergency scenarios where you will learn how to react to and manage the scene during the initial moments before emergency personnel arrive. This course is hands-on and the instructor will assist you with your skills practice. It is based on the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Subjects discussed in the video include:

• Open wounds, dressing and bandaging
• Broken or sprained limbs and how to stabilize them until help arrives
• Use of an epinephrine pen if an allergic reaction occurs due to allergies or stings
• How to recognize a choking victim and how to assist with a positive outcome
• What to do if someone is having a stroke, seizure, or is in cardiac arrest.

This course is typically for non-healthcare providers or those with limited or no medical training. If you are unsure if this is the First Aid Certification Class your organization requires, contact your compliance officer or give us a call at 720-609-2972.
